Take steps to ensure that your all of your bedding is clean. Keeping the bedding and linens clean is not something that some people find all that important. If you have problems with acne, you cannot afford to be one of these people. Instead of slacking, wash and dry your bedding every two or three days. This will help you make sure that excess dirt and debris will have a harder time finding their way into your face while you sleep. Your pajamas and other clothes should also always be clean. A breakout can be caused by something as seemingly safe as wearing a day old t-shirt or night shirt.
Try not to touch your face. Have you ever thought about how often you touch your face each day? Letting your face rest in your hands is just one way to clog your pores. Think about this. Whenever you touch something and then, later, touch your face, it is sort of like rubbing that object into your pores. If you make a habit of resting your face on your hands then the oil that is on your hands is going straight into the pores on your face.
This is also one of the reasons colds are so easily transmitted: you touch something that has germs on it and later brush your face with your hands which gives those germs easy access to your nose, mouth and eyes--prime entry portals! This is just one reason why touching your face with your hands is a bad idea.
